Converse Jack Purcell Ox Archive Prints Leather Shoes
Presenting Converse’s own take on a camouflage print, these Converse Jack Purcell Ox Archive Prints Leather Shoes - Black / Candied Ginger / Court Purple have smooth leather uppers decorated with an all over pattern coloured in tones of black, candied ginger and court purple. Following a classic low-top silhouette, the edges are neatened by leather piping whilst matching tone top stitching accentuates the heel, lace border and front sides. The tongue has been cut from the same printed leather and curves around the top of the foot for all-day comfort whilst on top flat white cotton laces loop through silver metal eyelets. On the inner side of the foot two additional metal eyelets have been added for ventilation and throughout the inside a smooth fabric lining continues across the underside of the tongue. An Ortholite sockliner provides comfortable cushioning whilst a white rubber outsole completes the design with a signature smile insert around the front of the foot coloured in a matching tone of court purple. For reliable traction, the tread has a herringbone pattern with a branded Converse Jack Purcell insert.
An icon of low-key expression since 1935, the Converse Jack Purcell was originally worn by Canadian badminton world champion John Edward “Jack” Purcell and has been continually reworked in a variety of colourways to keep the silhouette looking fresh. This season sees the introduction of archive-inspired patterns which pay homage to Converse’s rich history seen against signature silhouettes.
